On November 21 2006, in the frame of ADB TA No. 4659-UZB “Transport Sector Strategy” the Final Workshop has been performed
November 21, 2006 , Tashkent , Uzbekistan . Uzbek Association on Transport and Transport Communications (UATTC) hosted the workshop on discussion the findings and recommendations made by the Consultant in frame of ADB Technical assistance Project No. 4659-UZB “Transport Sector Strategy”. This Project is being implemented in partnership with UATTC with assistance provided by Consortium of Japanese companies in association with IKS Group of companies. The objective of the Project is to assist to the Government to prepare a medium- and long-term transport sector strategy to improve sector efficiency in order to effectively meet the transportation needs of the domestic economy and international traffic.
The seminar has been supported by the Government of Uzbekistan and stakeholder ministries and agencies, who have delegated their representatives to the workshop. The workshop has been also attended by representatives of multilateral and bilateral international organizations assisting in development of the transport sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan .
